Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

F183 ("Freqüència 183", "the App", "we", "us", or "our") is a health and wellness audio application developed by Jaume Orejuela ("Developer"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information when you use F183.

We are committed to protecting your privacy. F183 is designed with a privacy-first approach: your health data is processed with minimal exposure, never sold, and never used for advertising or tracking.

By using F183, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this Privacy Policy.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Health & Fitness Data (via Apple HealthKit)

With your explicit permission, F183 reads the following data from Apple HealthKit:

• Activity: Steps, active energy burned, exercise minutes, stand hours, distance walked/run, flights climbed, Move ring data
• Heart: Heart rate, resting heart rate, heart rate variability (HRV), VO2 max
• Sleep: Sleep analysis (duration, stages)
• Body: (only if available) Respiratory rate, blood oxygen saturation
• Workouts: Workout type, duration, calories burned, start/end times

Important: F183 only reads data from HealthKit. We never write data to HealthKit.

2.2 Location Data

With your permission, F183 accesses your approximate location solely to provide local weather context for your personalized audio programs. Location data is processed locally on your device, is not stored, and is not transmitted to third parties.

2.3 Account Information

When you create an account via Google Sign-In or Apple Sign-In, we collect:

• First name — Used to personalize your daily radio programs
• Email address — Used for account authentication and communication

You may also use F183 with an anonymous session, without signing in with Google or Apple. In that case no email address is collected and the only identifier is the Firebase Authentication UID described below. The listening name you choose is stored on your device and used to personalize your programs.

2.4 Identifiers

• Firebase Authentication UID — A unique identifier generated by Firebase to manage your account

2.5 Subscription Information

• F183+ subscription status — Whether you have an active subscription and which plan, managed entirely through Apple's StoreKit. We do not collect or store payment details, credit card numbers, or billing addresses.

2.6 Usage Data

• App interaction metrics — Programs listened to, listening duration, engagement level, and knowledge profiler data (used to adapt content complexity to your level)

2.7 Information We Do NOT Collect

F183 does not collect:

• Contacts or address book
• Photos, videos, or user-generated content
• Browsing or search history
• Financial or banking information
• Biometric authentication data (Face ID / Touch ID data stays on-device)
• Advertising identifiers

3. How We Use Your Information

All data collected by F183 is used exclusively for App Functionality:

We do not use your data for advertising or marketing, selling to third parties, user profiling for purposes other than content personalization, or tracking across other apps or websites.

4. How Your Health Data Is Processed

4.1 On-Device Processing

Your raw HealthKit data is read and processed entirely on your device. The App aggregates and anonymizes health metrics before any data leaves your device.

4.2 Script Generation

To generate your personalized daily program, F183 sends anonymized health summaries to third-party AI services. This data:

• Contains no personally identifiable information (no name, email, or user ID)
• Consists only of aggregated numerical health metrics (e.g., "7,432 steps", "7h 23m sleep", "62 bpm resting heart rate")
• Is sent via encrypted HTTPS connections
• Is not stored by the AI provider beyond the API request processing (subject to each provider's API Terms of Service)

4.3 Voice Synthesis

The generated script is sent to a third-party cloud voice synthesis service so that your presenters can speak it. Because your presenters address you by name on air, the script sent for synthesis contains the listening name you chose, together with any health figures the script mentions out loud (for example "eight thousand two hundred steps"). It contains no email address, no account identifier and no raw HealthKit records. The synthesized audio is returned to your device and cached locally. The voice provider processes this text solely to produce the audio.

4.4 Data Flow Summary

Your health data is read from Apple Health and processed entirely on your device. Only an anonymized statistical summary, with no personal identifiers, leaves your device to generate the script (Section 4.2). The script is then sent for voice synthesis, and at that stage it includes your listening name because the presenters say it out loud (Section 4.3). The resulting audio is cached on your device and in your own private iCloud (Section 6.2). Your email address, your Apple ID and your account identifier are never sent to the AI or voice providers, and raw HealthKit records never leave your device.

5. Third-Party Services

F183 uses a limited number of third-party service providers to deliver core app functionality. All providers are bound by their respective data processing agreements and privacy policies.

"Additional service providers" refers to specialized companies that process anonymized, non-identifiable data for content creation purposes. These providers never receive health data, personal identifiers, or account information. A complete list of sub-processors is available upon request at frequencia183@gmail.com.

5.1 Third-Party Generative AI Providers

F183 uses the following third-party companies to provide generative artificial intelligence services that produce your personalized program script:

• Google LLC (Mountain View, California, USA) — provider of generative AI services.
• Anthropic, PBC (San Francisco, California, USA) — provider of generative AI services.

Before any data is sent, F183 displays an explicit consent screen during onboarding identifying these companies by name. You may revoke consent at any time through Settings → Privacy → Data Consent.

The data sent to these providers is strictly limited to:

• Aggregated, anonymized health metrics (e.g., "7 hours of sleep, 8,200 steps, resting heart rate 62 bpm")
• General demographic context if available (age range, biological sex)
• Your selected presenter language and listening preferences

The following information is never transmitted to these providers:

• Your name, email address, or any other personal identifier
• Your Apple ID, Firebase UID, device UDID, or push notification token
• Raw HealthKit records (individual heart rate readings, GPS routes, sleep timestamps, etc.)
• Your physical location, address, or precise coordinates
• Any clinical data you may have entered manually

Both companies act as data processors on our behalf. According to their respective enterprise API terms, they do not retain the data for long-term storage beyond what is required to fulfill the API request, and do not use it to train their machine learning models. We do not share any other data with these providers.

We do not share your data with any advertising networks or data brokers. Anonymous usage metrics are collected exclusively to improve app quality, contain no health information, and are never used for advertising or tracking. You can opt out at any time in Settings.

5.2 Anonymous Usage Analytics

F183 collects anonymous usage data exclusively for improving app quality. This data includes:

• App session times and frequency of use
• Feature usage patterns (which screens are visited, which functions are used)
• Technical performance metrics (loading times, error rates)
• Subscription funnel data (which plans are viewed, conversion rates)

This data does not include:

• Any health or fitness data from HealthKit
• Your name, email, or any personal identifiers
• Your location or GPS coordinates
• The content of your generated programs

You can disable analytics collection at any time from the App's privacy settings, or by writing to us at frequencia183@gmail.com. When disabled, no analytics events are collected or sent.

Our analytics solution does not use Apple's IDFA and does not track you across apps or websites. No App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt is required.

6. Data Storage and Retention

6.1 Local Storage

• Cached programs: Up to 7 daily audio programs are stored locally for free users; unlimited for F183+ subscribers
• Program summaries: Stored locally for up to 30 days to provide continuity between programs
• Preferences: App settings stored locally via UserDefaults
• Health data: Raw HealthKit data is never stored by F183; it is read, processed, and discarded

6.2 Cloud Storage

• Firebase Authentication: Account credentials stored in Firebase (Google Cloud infrastructure).
• Account and progress data (Firebase Firestore): your listening name, language, sign-in method, subscription status, app version, and progress counters such as your streak, number of programs and position in the season.
• Progress skeleton (Firebase Firestore): how many programs you have listened to, your listener level and when your last program was created, so we can send you a reminder if you stop listening. This contains no narrative text and no health measurements.
• Your programs in your own iCloud (Apple CloudKit private database): your generated programs are kept in your personal iCloud account so they survive reinstalling the App. Before upload, each program is stripped of health information: the wellness score is removed and the spoken script text is cleared, so what travels is the title, date, mood, duration and season data. This area is private to you: it is your iCloud, not ours, and we cannot browse it.
• Your narrative memory in your own iCloud: the short summaries your presenters keep about your story are stored in that same private iCloud area, not in our databases. They are narrative sentences, never HealthKit measurements.
• No raw HealthKit records are stored in the cloud: individual heart rate readings, GPS routes, sleep timestamps and similar raw records never leave your device.

Deleting your account from Settings → Delete Account removes your Firebase data and the programs stored in your private iCloud.

6.3 Data Encryption

All locally stored data is protected with NSFileProtectionComplete, meaning it is encrypted when your device is locked and can only be accessed after the device is unlocked.

7. Data Sharing

F183 does not:

• Sell your personal data to anyone
• Share your data with advertising networks
• Share your data with data brokers
• Use your data for cross-app tracking
• Link your data with third-party data for advertising purposes

The only data sharing that occurs is as described in Section 4 (anonymized health metrics to AI services for script generation, and script text to cloud voice synthesis).

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access: View what data F183 has collected about you
• Deletion: Delete your account and all associated data at any time through the App's Settings → Delete Account, or by contacting us
• Revoke HealthKit access: Through iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Health → F183
• Revoke location access: Through iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services → F183
• Revoke consent: Withdraw data processing consent through the App's settings (Data Consent toggle)
• Portability: Request a copy of your data by contacting us

EU/EEA Users (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Union or European Economic Area, you additionally have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority, object to processing of your personal data, and request restriction of processing.

Our legal basis for processing your data is your explicit consent (given during onboarding and HealthKit authorization).

9. Data Security

We implement the following security measures:

• All network communications use TLS/HTTPS encryption
• Local data is encrypted with NSFileProtectionComplete
• No health data is stored in cloud databases
• Personal identifiers are never sent to AI services
• Firebase Authentication handles credential security
• API keys are restricted to the app's bundle identifier

10. Children's Privacy

F183 is not intended for use by children under the age of 13 (or the applicable age of consent in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

11. Apple HealthKit Compliance

In accordance with Apple's HealthKit guidelines:

• F183 does not use HealthKit data for advertising or similar services
• F183 does not disclose HealthKit data to third parties without user consent
• F183 does not sell HealthKit data
• Raw HealthKit records are not stored in iCloud or in any of our databases; they stay on your device. What is stored in your private iCloud is your generated programs, as described in Section 6.2
• F183 clearly states its health data usage in this Privacy Policy and during onboarding

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this document and displaying a notice within the App.
